Boundary, retaining, planter and feature walls built across Birmingham and the West Midlands.
A garden wall is the bit of brickwork most people walk past every day, so it has to be straight, level, and sit nicely with the house it belongs to. We build boundary walls, retaining walls, planter and step walls, and feature walls with capping and soldier courses. Foundations dug to depth, DPC laid, weep holes set, courses pinged off a string line. The basics, done properly.
Front garden walls, side returns, rear boundary walls. Brick, block, or stone-faced. Built to property boundaries with proper foundations and capping.
Reinforced retaining walls for sloped gardens and split-level patios. Engineered drainage, weep holes, and tied back where the height calls for it.
Soldier courses, brick-on-edge cappings, half-round and saddle-back coping. Detail work that lifts a plain wall into something a bit nicer.
Raised planters, low edging walls and step walls around patios and driveways. Matched bricks and mortar to whatever's already on site.
For most garden walls we dig 450mm to 600mm of concrete strip foundation, deeper for retaining walls or anything over a metre high. We always go down to firm ground, even if that means a bit more digging.
Yes. We bring samples back from local suppliers and match the brick, bond pattern and mortar colour as close as possible. For older properties we can mix lime mortar to suit.
Walls under 1m on a boundary line, or under 2m elsewhere, usually don't need permission. Anything taller, or on a Highway, we'll let you know and can point you to your local planning office.
A 10m boundary wall is usually 4 to 6 days from dig to finish. Bigger retaining walls or feature walls can run 1 to 2 weeks. We always give you a written start and finish date in the quote.
Tell us a few details about the garden walls you're planning. We'll come back within 24 hours, usually the same day, and get a site visit booked in for the week.
Most jobs start with a 5-minute call so we can work out if we're the right fit and when we could realistically get on site. No hard sell.
